Collaborations - Polluted Pattern for 'Lost in Lace'
Commissioned at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and curated by Lesley Millar MBE, Professor of Textile Culture.
Harnessing airborne pollution through photo-reactive materials, a lace-like pattern has been screen printed onto photo-catalytic concrete panels.
Realized in collaboration with Italcementi, who patented the nanotechnology adopted, the motif is developed and unveiled through exposure to airborne pollution in Italy and UK over several months.
